Another Utah trip!!

So, I'm visiting Utah again! We are coming for the Thanksgiving holiday, but I'll also be available to do a few sessions. We will be there Tues. Nov. 20th, thru Sat. Nov. 24th. OH ya!! I also started a new myspace page for my photography. Some of you may have noticed that my old website is no longer functional. I've set up this myspace page while I'm building my new website. Although, I plan on keeping it even after my new site is done. ;-) The myspace address is www.myspace.com/wmphotography If you have a myspace add me as a friend!! I need some more. :) Also....people on my friends list will get first notice on special promotions as well as special "myspace only" specials and promotions. ;-) Think discounted sessions and free prints!! Love this family

Had a session yesterday with a cute little family. I did this little guys pics when he was just a couple months old, and then again with all hsi cousins (see below). Mom wanted some family pics outsde with the fall colors. Sadly, a few wind storms here blew off quite a few of the leaves. But I think we still got some cute ones. He's such a happy baby....he's always fun to photograph.

Another trip to Utah!

So...I'm making another trip to Utah! yay yay.. ;-) I'll be there Sunday the 21st of October through Friday October 26th. So, if you think you may want a session, please please let me know ASAP! I will, as always, have a limited number of sessions available for that week.


Also, my prices have changed. A session fee is now $100, but it also includes a $25 print credit :). Print prices have also have also changed. So please email me if you'd like a current price list.



Fall in Utah is beautiful! And with the Holidays fast approaching.....wouldn't you love to have a new family photo for all of your Holiday cards?! Better yet....why not a custom designed Holiday card to send out?! With each session I will design 3 custom holiday cards for you to choose from. These cards are available in 3 different sizes; 5x7 fold over card, 4x5.5 folded card, or a 5x7 one side flat card. All come with envelopes, and the fold over cards are available on gorgeous linen paper! This paper adds a lovely rich look to your cards. :)


I hope that all my Utahan friends will take advantage of my being there, as I love shooting families in fall in Utah. ;-)

5 little cuties!

Remember M&M? Well..I had another session with all their cutie little cousins. We shot at one of the moms homes, and she happens to have a pond in her backyard. Well.....it didn't take too long for one of the little boys to take a head dive in. Poor little wee one. :( He was okay...but you know me...I couldn't help myself, and had to take a few pics. ^_^

I'm still buried in proofing this session. I'm so behind. But I did wanna share the few that I've opened and worked on so far.

Coming to Michigan!

As promised....I am coming to Michigan for a visit. I'll be there from Thursday, August 3oth thru Monday, Sept. 10th. Sessions are very limited as this a family vacay, one that is very long overdue. ;-) However, in the spring I had some requests from clients as to when I'd be back to Michigan. So....I *will* be setting aside some time for sessions.

Meet M, and her sister M. :) Two cutie pie sister I got to photograph recently. It had poured all day long, and cleared up just in time for our session. Lucky us. Then we moved inside for some studio shots with my great find from the antique mall. :)

Gone for a Week!

Date change for Utah trip!!

I'm going to be in the Provo/Orem area from Monday the 18th of June thru Friday the 22nd. If you want to schedule a session please contact me as soon as possible! I will be out of town Monday the 11th thru Wed the 13th, so I will be unavailable by phone and email for those 3 days.

I have a limited number of sessions appointments available, so..if you think you may want a session....call me asap! I'd hate for you to miss out. ;-)

yay! The Proof Albums are here!!!!

I'm so excited! My proof albums arrived today and they are fantastic! I'm really excited to be offering these to clients now. They are going to be complimentary on orders of $600 or more. I haven't decided if I will be selling them, or if I will strictly keep them as a GWP (gift with purchase). Anyway, just wanted to share. :)

Oh, an update on my website. It's s-l-o-w-l-y coming along. I'm having some issues with colors and fonts, but I'm hoping to get all the bugs hammered out this weekend and going LIVE by next week!! Yay! I'm also going to be doing some special promos with the launch of my new site. So, keep checking my blog for updates. They will be special "blog deals" that you will only get if you read my blog so...be sure to bookmark me! ;-)

Making a trip to Utah!

Attention to all my Utah clients: I'm going to be visiting the area this June. I will be there from the about the 20th of June thru the 25th of June. If you wish to schedule a session please contact me ASAP as I will have a very limited number of sessions available during my visit. ;-)

Also, if you know that you are going to want a session please book fast as my rates are about to go up. If you book before the rate increase you will get the current lower rates. ;-) (NOTE: session fees for all Utah sessions are due one week prior to the actual session, thanks)

finally back!!

Have you missed me?! OMGoodness!!! I'm sorry I've been away longer then I thought. I had some family things I needed to tend to. I'm in NorCal for the next 3 weeks, I've already been here for 3 weeks. Anyway, I finally have my own computer at least. I had so much work to do I had to get it set up.

So, here's the new deal: I'm going to be offering sessions in the Ridgecrest, CA. area as well as the Mammoth Lakes, CA. area. I'm still working on my new website. (I haven't touched in over a month..geesh.. lol) BUT...I'll have all the nitty gritty details there as soon as I go live with it. ;-) Until then, you can always email me with your session request. You can try calling me, but I get limited cell service up here so email is typically the best way to reach me while I'm here in NorCal. Please be patient if I don't get back with you right away. I'm stuck with dial-up here so I tend to get frustrated with it easily, hehe.

If you do wish to have a session in either area, please, please, please contact me as soon as possible, as I have limited session dates for each area. I'd hate for you to miss out. ;-) I'm still going to try and a get a "Beach Session" package together. Being in Cali I just can't *not* do it ya know?! hehe. Note that these sessions will be very, very limited. So, if you are at all interested please contact me asap. ;-)

Well, that's the latest. I'm hoping that things will get back to normal for me in the coming weeks. I'll try to update here often. It'll be easier now that I actually have my computer. :)

Proofing a session from last Sunday. (I've been sooo bogged down this last week, I am only *just now* getting to them.. *sigh*) Anyway...this girl was so cute, and such a ham! LOL I loved her. She was so excited about posing for me.

I got a new action this last week and I'm just geting around to using it. Tried it on this photo, and I think I like it. It's a color pop action, that normally I really only like on natural light photos, but...I think it works here.


Edited to add~ Okay.....I'm begining to notice that my photos look a lot different when I post them here than they do in photoshop. WTheck?! They look sooo washed out and so much lighter here. Grrr.....this totally does not do this photo justice.

Will be Gone for 2 Weeks!! (take note please.. ;-)

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be gone from Friday April 6th thru Friday April 20th. I will be moving to California and unable to respond to emails or process orders. The deadline to place your order is Wed. March 28th. Any orders placed after this time will be received, via USPS Priority Insured, after April 21st. ( I will email you as soon as I ship your prints if you miss the order deadline. ;-) I understand there are some clients who will not be able to make the order deadline due to the fact that your session was to recent.

blue eyed bebe's

Had a maternity session today with a childhood friend of mine. I've know both mom and dad just about my whole life. It was so much fun photographing them. I wish ever session went this smoothly, and easily. Their kids have the most gorgeous eyes!!

itty bitty...

Had a session today with an itty bitty princess. She was so cute! I had a great time and just wanted to share a few. I'll be proofing them all this week, but I just pulled a few of my faves to post tonite as a sneak peak for mom and dad. ;-)

Moving and my NEW website....

Slowly but surly it's coming along. I've been using the photosite one for a loonng time, and it's time to move on. I've finally found one I like, and it's really turning out great. Stay tuned for a sneak peak. ;-) And watch for some great specials and promotions celebrating my new site! There will be some great deals the whole month when it finally goes live, so check back often!!

Also, starting in April, Whitney McCoy Photography will be re-locating to Southern California. Finally settling in, and calling Ridgecrest, CA. home, for at least the next year or so. ;-) I'm really excited about this move as it means I will be able to offer even *more* great session styles to my clients. In the works, are "Urban" and "Beach", along with a few more. As always, I will still be 100% on location. I will be servicing all of Kern Co., and well as the Palmdale and Lancaster area.

In celebration of my move I will be offering a limited number of complimentary sessions!! I will be making an official post about the complimentary sessions, and how you can schedule one, in the coming weeks. So..keep a look out!!

For all those in Michiagn, there is still time to schedule a session before I move. I will be taking sessions up until Sunday, March 24th. ;-)

Twins...

I had the privilage of photographing these little munchkins at just 12 days old. So sweet! We did this session last summer and it really makes me long for warmer weather and longer days. *sigh*

I'll be doing a session with them again soon, with mom and dad as well. Can't wait! I just love photographing babies...especially twins. ;-)

Winter in Michigan, it's not *always* grey and misserable..

I took this shot in January after a wicked ice storm. It was sooo cold, but the sun was shining brighter than I'd seen in several weeks. ;-) I've had this image just sitting on my hard drive since I took it, thought it desevered some viewing time.

Welcome to my blog! I've noticed that many many of my fellow photoger friends are getting on the blog bandwagon in addition to their actual websites.
